Lyle Glowka, is Head of the Convention on Migratory Species Abu Dhabi Office. A biologist and international environmental lawyer, Glowka has published widely on biodiversity-related issues. He has worked in a variety of capacities both in Bonn and Abu Dhabi with the CMS Secretariat over the course of a 12-year career with the Convention. While in Bonn he led the development of number of supplementary international agreements under the Convention’s framework including the early conceptual work to develop the CMS Raptors MoU. Prior to re-joining CMS in 2013, Glowka was Legal Advisor to the Convention on Biological Diversity.
